Nicole Hayman‑Sherman is a Grand Master of Yoga and ERYT‑500 with more than 10,000 hours of teaching experience and over 1,400 hours of advanced training. She has been teaching in Central New York for 13 years and is the Owner and President of Just Breathe Registered Yoga School (JBYS).

As the lead facilitator of JBYS’s Yoga Teacher Training programs, Nicole has mentored yoga instructors across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Her teaching is grounded in nearly five decades of personal practice, beginning at age three with her mother.
Nicole’s yoga background spans a wide range of traditions, including Hatha, Iyengar, Power, White Lotus, Bikram, ISHTA, Kripalu, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin, giving her a uniquely comprehensive and integrative teaching style.
Before dedicating her career to yoga, Nicole spent more than 30 years in marketing, sales, and public relations throughout the Mohawk Valley. Her professional experience includes owning a marketing consulting firm, serving as a regional manager for the local cable company, and holding multiple sales management positions—skills that now support her leadership as a studio owner and educator.
Nicole completed her initial 300‑hour certification in 2012 and became the Owner and President of Just Breathe Yoga Studio in January 2013. She went on to earn her Children’s Yoga Certification (2013), Meditation Teacher Certification (2014), 500‑hour designation (2015), Prenatal Yoga Certification (2015), Yoga Therapy foundations training (2022), Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist training (2022), Ayurvedic Practitioner training (2024), and Trauma‑Informed Yoga certification (2026). She is currently enrolled in a three‑year Doctor of Ayurveda program through a training sanctioned by the Ministry of AYUSH in India.
In addition to her work at JBYS, Nicole has taught for Mohawk Valley Community College, Madison‑Oneida BOCES, the Ava Dorfman Senior Center, and numerous community programs, including youth and residential centers throughout the region.
Nicole was honored with the 2023 Health 2.0 Conference Outstanding Leadership Award, recognizing her dedication to yoga education, community service, and holistic wellness.
